FAQ

How does it work? How do you become a client?

Normally a chat on the phone, then we’d arrange to meet and take it from there.

What’s our niche?

A high-talent person who has been identified as such (possibly asking themselves “when will I be found out?”), and needs to step up to making things happen - perhaps now more through others.

Changing from working IN the business to working ON the business. You have the potential, mastered your technical ‘stuff’, and applying that to making it grow. How do you come up with a plan to shift the business to its target objectives, and how to work with the senior individuals who set the direction.

Some people in their 30s may not realise that they need a coach, they’ve always managed without via their self-motivation. It usually takes someone else to point it out to them (this might be the organisation). When the company sees high potential, and sometimes a lack of awareness of their effect on the other areas of the company, coaching is recognised as valuable support.

We work with people at every stage of life and have some great stories that we can share.

Realising Potential

There really is more to each of us than we or other’s know. There is more for our organisations of every type to envision and make happen.

The first step is to have a personal and collective sense of ‘why’ or purpose. We align with https://www.blueprintforbusiness.org/ and Tomorow's Company movements who believe that Business is a source for good in society. Blueprint for better business help organisations identify their purpose - why they exist - and whose they serve. Meeting all the stakeholders and their needs becomes the focus and pathway to success. Tomorrow’s Company have great insight around governance and a focus on working with schools to ‘infect’ the curriculum with business life skills.

The next step is to assemble the right people and together co-create a strategic plan and then execute it. This requires leadership to create followership and willingness which over time produces results to support desired outcomes. When sustained over time, this generates capacity and capability and is how the organisation grows and flourishes. This is realising potential.

What is ‘Conductivity’?

This is a way of describing the quality of relationships in any enterprise.

Energy flows where conductivity is high - high energy aligned with purpose generating momentum and valuable outcomes - supported by tangible results or goals.

High conductivity sustained over time creates increasing influence. See https://www.humanconductivity.com/ of which Philip Crocker is a co-founder.

Performance

For us high performance is the ease with which results are achieved to support desired outcomes. A client suggested a useful metaphor of the engine. A high performing engine is made up of the right elements all working together to produce momentum and power. The source of the power is not the fuel in the tank, it is rather the oil that creates the ease and enables all to work together to reach the destination. The engine needs continual monitoring and adjustment to changes inside and outside.

What is coaching?

Philip Crocker is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a Professional Credentialed Coaching. Philip Crocker works under the ICF Code of Conduct.

The ICF defines Coaching as:

Professional Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.

In each meeting, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action.

Coaching accelerates the client's progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where clients are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future.

ICF member coaches and ICF credentialed coaches recognise that results are a matter of the client's intentions, choices and actions, supported by the coach's efforts and application of the coaching process.
